The Getac A140 fully rugged tablet computer is our largest and most powerful tablet to date. It delivers exceptional performance with industry leading security. Use Getac's fully rugged tablet computer PC A140 in the field, as well as in the industry, production or logistics – everywhere where a tablet computer needs to convince with high durability and continuous performance. The IP65-certified A140 ensures that no job needs to be interrupted due to adverse environmental conditions or an empty battery, since Getac's LifeSupport technology allows for a battery swap during operation. With the optional multi-charger (dual or eight bay) users charge used batteries while the tablet PC is in operation.
If you need the A140 computer to read barcodes you also receive the device with an integrated 2D scanner. Additional options include an RFID and NFC reader, an OPAL 2.0 SSD with 128, 256 or 512 GB as memory expansion, and more. All the available combination and accessory options result in a variety of possible variants for an even broader usage spectrum.
The tablet's 14'' capacitive display is also operable with a stylus or while wearing gloves. Thanks to its brightness of 1,000 nits you even easily read it in bright sunshine. Advanced LumiBond 2.0 technology not only makes this display exceptionally robust, but also ensures for excellent image quality. Both the contrast ratio and the colours ,as well as the viewing angle, have been radically improved, since, unlike commercially available models, there is no air "gap" between the touch screen and the LCD panel.
In keeping with its protection class, the A140 computer is not only completely dust-proof, it also handles jet water from any direction. Impacts, falls from over 1.2 m and changing temperatures between -21°C and +60°C are no problem for it. With its impenetrable robust housing and high electromagnetic tolerance, the tablet PC meets MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-461G standards.
Among other things, users find the A140 computer as an ideal weather-proof companion for field service operations: even with pouring rain, mud splashes, high humidity and dust or pollen clouds, you may completely rely on the performance of the tablet PC. In addition, users operate the touch screen and buttons even with wet hands, without having to worry about the tablet.
In addition to mechanical security features, the TPM 2.0 chip ensures that the system was not manipulated before booting it. Further security options include a fingerprint scanner, which only grants authorized personnel access to the device. The standard version still comprises an integrated HD webcam, 8 megapixel camera and stable connection via dual band 802.11ac WLAN and Bluetooth 4.2.
A full range of accessories is also available for the A140 computer, including hand straps and shoulder straps for easy carrying on the body. Thus, the device is available whenever it is needed, and users have both hands free. Vehicle and trolley docks are also available for maximum mobile productivity. And if you want to increase the durability even further, put a practical protective film on the display.
In addition to just accessories, the tablet PC has numerous expansion slots and I/O interfaces for RFID readers, FHD webcams, GPS extension antennas and other devices. Users are therefore free to extensively customize the A140 - depending on the conditions at the operation site and with which way to work with which data. Or you do without the accessories and extensions, and use the A140 for what it is: a robust, powerful tablet PC which is reliable even in poor conditions.
