Flexible VCare Pharmacy FMD Solution

VCare provides a smartphone app with secure login which can run on Android and iPhone to scan the 2D QR code for FMD verification. It allows pharmacy to keep their existing workflow in place.

VCare provides a web portal with same secured login using which Pharmacy can use standard wired 2D QR code scanner to scan and verify the medicines. The portal can run on standard PC / laptop used by the pharmacy or laptop. The portal can also be used to mark a bag as ‘delivered’ at the time of bag collection. At that time, VCare server will send the decommission messages to NMVS.

Smartphone App and Web portal always remain synchronised. This means all bags or medicines added from a smartphone are also available on the portal. Any status update done on the web portal reflects on Smartphone app as well in real-time.

All patients details will be migrated from any of your existing PMR into VCare system. Any new patients details can be added by taking a picture of the bag label using the smartphone for quick entry.

Most cost-effective solution in the market

1. Patient’s arrive with green Rx (FP10) or Pharmacy downloads and prints EPS script using PMR.
2. Pharmacy prints usual medicines labels and patient ‘bag’ label.
3. At the time of picking up medicines from the shelves, dispenser users the VCare FMD App on the smartphone to create a bag. As dispenser picks up medicines from the shelf, user scans 2D QR code using the smartphone app. Pharmacies supplying to care homes usually collects all medicines from shelf and creates ‘blister’ packs or MDS in a ‘quiet’ place in the pharmacy. Smartphone app provides the flexibility of performing this task any where inside the pharmacy. VCare server performs the FMD check and shows the status of the FMD verification of each medicine.
4. Next step is for pharmacist to perform checks. Pharmacist can use the VCare FMD app to mark a bag as ‘ready for delivery’. At that time the patient can be notified via text message if patient has agreed to get notified
5. When patient arrives to collect the bag, person at the counter can use VCare portal to search for the patient using the unique code provided and mark the bag as ‘delivered’. At that time, decommission messages will be sent.

Commercial

VCare will do registration with SecurMed on behalf of the client. For that VCare will charge one-off £20.00
FMD Solution will be completely free of cost to the clients up to April, 2019.
