Cash Drawers
Cash Drawers come in many sizes and configurations, getting the right cash drawer is important, when putting together an Electronic Point of Sale System. You need to ensure that the drawer you choose is reliable and secure and will protect your cash, credit card receipts and vouchers.
Two main types of cash drawers are available, the first is the traditional drawer type where the cash box slides out from the front of the drawer and the second is the "flip-top" type drawer which fits into much smaller areas, where space is at a premium. Both types of cash drawers connect directly to any receipt printer with a cash drawer driver and open when a command is sent to drawer from the PC via the receipt printer.
Although the cash drawers connector type is the same for most brands of printer, the wiring is different, it is then important to specify which printer the cash drawers will be connected to. Alternatively we supply RS232C serial and USB interface versions which connect directly to the PC.
